🥗 Braised Salad with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients
- lemons 1 pc.
- sour cream 200 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- walnut kernels 4 tbsp
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- mini romaine 4 pc.
- butter 4 tbsp
- white wine, dry 50 ml
- vegetable broth 150 ml
- baguette 1 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Wash the lemon thoroughly, grate about 1 tsp of zest, halve it, and squeeze out the juice. In a bowl, mix sour cream, lemon zest, 1 tsp lemon juice, salt, and pepper well and season to taste.
- 2. Coarsely chop the walnuts and toast them in a pan without additional fat over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 3. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly. Halve the lettuce hearts lengthwise, wash them thoroughly, and shake off the water.
- 4. Melt the butter in the pan over medium heat and sweat the garlic for about 1 minute. Then add the lettuce hearts cut-side down and fry for about 2 minutes. Turn, add wine and broth, season with salt and pepper, and braise for approx. 3 minutes.
- 5. Garnish and serve the fried lettuce with the lemon sour cream and walnuts. Serve with baguette. Enjoy your meal!
