🍽️ Grilled Romaine Lettuce with Melon-Tomato Salsa

Ingredients
- yellow bell pepper 1 pc.
- vine tomatoes 300 g
- watermelon 400 g
- basil, fresh 20 g
- oranges 1 pc.
- olive oil 4 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- mini romaine 3 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the core and seeds from the bell peppers.
- 3. Cut the bell peppers into small cubes.
- 4. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 5. Halve the tomatoes.
- 6. Remove the inner core of the tomatoes.
- 7. Dice the tomatoes.
- 8. Peel the melon.
- 9. Halve the melon.
- 10. Remove the seeds from the melon.
- 11. Cut the melon into pieces.
- 12. Rinse the basil.
- 13. Dry the basil with a cloth.
- 14. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 15. Finely chop the basil leaves.
- 16. Rinse the orange with hot water.
- 17. Grate about one teaspoon of orange zest.
- 18. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
- 19. Take a large bowl.
- 20. Add the diced bell pepper to the bowl.
- 21. Add the diced tomatoes to the bowl.
- 22. Add the melon pieces to the bowl.
- 23. Add the chopped basil to the bowl.
- 24. Add the orange juice to the bowl.
- 25. Add the orange zest to the bowl.
- 26. Add two tablespoons of oil to the bowl.
- 27. Mix all ingredients in the bowl well.
- 28. Season the mixture with salt.
- 29. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 30. Halve the romaine lettuce lengthwise.
- 31. Make sure the core remains intact.
- 32. Rinse the halved lettuce carefully.
- 33. Shake the lettuce dry thoroughly.
- 34. Brush the lettuce with the remaining oil.
- 35. Heat a pan over medium to high heat.
- 36. Place the lettuce cut-side down in the pan.
- 37. Grill the lettuce for about one to two minutes.
- 38. Turn the lettuce while grilling.
- 39. Continue grilling the lettuce until it starts to fall apart slightly.
- 40. Place the grilled lettuce on a serving plate.
- 41. Top the lettuce with the melon-tomato salsa.
- 42. Enjoy the dish immediately.
