  1. 1. Roughly chop the almonds.
  2. 2. Put sugar and water into a pot.
  3. 3. Set the stove to a low heat setting.
  4. 4. Let the sugar melt slowly.
  5. 5. Caramelize the sugar for about 8 to 10 minutes until it is golden brown.
  6. 6. Add the chopped almonds and sea salt to the pot.
  7. 7. Mix the almonds thoroughly with the caramel.
  8. 8. Pour the mixture directly onto a sheet of baking paper.
  9. 9. Let the almonds cool down completely.
  10. 10. Break the cooled caramelized almonds into coarse pieces.
  11. 11. Preheat the grill.
  12. 12. Cut the banana with the peel lengthwise into two halves.
  13. 13. Lightly brush the banana halves with oil.
  14. 14. Place the banana with the cut side down on the grill.
  15. 15. Grill the banana for about 3 minutes.
  16. 16. Remove the grilled banana from the grill.
  17. 17. Place the banana on a plate.
  18. 18. Add vanilla ice cream to the banana.
  19. 19. Sprinkle the caramelized salted almonds over it.
  20. 20. Serve the grilled banana split.
