🍽️ Classic Stuffed Onions

Ingredients
- vegetable onions 4 pcs.
- salt pinch
- pepper, red 1 pc.
- olives, green 100 g
- feta 100 g
- butter 2 tbsp
- oregano, dried 1 tsp
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan mode.
- 2. Peel the onions and cut off the top ends.
- 3. Carefully remove the inside of the onions.
- 4. Bring a pot with one liter of salted water to a boil.
- 5. Boil the empty onions for 15 minutes until they are soft.
- 6. Let the onions drain well in a sieve.
- 7. Finely chop the removed onion insides.
- 8. Wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds.
- 9. Dice the bell pepper finely.
- 10. Drain the green olives.
- 11. Finely chop the olives as well.
- 12. Coarsely crumble the feta cheese with your hands.
- 13. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
- 14. Add the chopped onion insides and the bell pepper to the pan.
- 15. Sauté the mixture for 5 minutes.
- 16. Add the chopped olives.
- 17. Cook everything together for another minute.
- 18. Mix the pan mixture with the feta cheese.
- 19. Season the filling with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- 20. Stuff the cooked onions with the mixture.
- 21. Place the stuffed onions in a greased baking dish.
- 22. Bake the onions in the oven for 30 minutes.
- 23. Remove the onions and serve them hot.
