🥗 Stuffed Pljeskavica with Salad

Ingredients
- onions, red 2 pcs.
- garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- minced meat, mixed 600 g
- mustard 1 tbsp
- eggs 2 pcs.
- breadcrumbs 3 tbsp
- paprika, sweet 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- feta cheese 150 g
- olive oil 4 tbsp
- salad mix 125 g
- cherry tomatoes mix 200 g
- cucumbers 1 pcs.
- lemons 1 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Halve an onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 3. Peel a clove of garlic and chop it finely.
- 4. Add the minced meat, onion cubes, garlic, mustard, eggs, breadcrumbs, and paprika powder to a large bowl.
- 5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Knead the ingredients well until they form a homogeneous mass.
- 7. Place the meat mixture in the refrigerator for a while.
- 8. Slice the feta cheese into thin slices.
- 9. Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions.
- 10. Shape each portion on a piece of baking paper into a round disc about 0.5 centimeters thick.
- 11. Top one meat disc with the feta slices.
- 12. Carefully place the second meat disc onto the feta layer using the baking paper.
- 13. Press the edges of the two meat discs together firmly so they seal.
- 14. Lift the stuffed pljeskavica onto a baking sheet using the baking paper.
- 15. Lightly brush the surface of the meat disc with oil.
- 16. Bake the pljeskavica for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
- 17. Wash the salad greens thoroughly.
- 18. Spin the salad dry in a salad spinner.
- 19. Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half.
- 20. Peel the remaining onion and slice it into rings.
- 21. Wash the cucumber and cut off the ends.
- 22. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
- 23. Slice the cucumber halves into rounds.
- 24. Halve a lemon.
- 25. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 26. Mix olive oil with two tablespoons of lemon juice in a bowl.
- 27. Season the dressing with salt and pepper.
- 28. Add the onion rings, salad greens, cucumber slices, and tomatoes to the dressing.
- 29. Mix all salad ingredients well together.
- 30. Plate the baked pljeskavica.
- 31. Serve the pljeskavica together with the fresh salad.
