  1. 1. Drain the cherries and chop them finely. Also chop the marzipan raw mass into small pieces. Pit the dates.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix the cherries, icing sugar, and marzipan well with the port wine. Then form them into narrow rolls and use them to fill the dates.
  3. 3. Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Heat water in a pot until it boils. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over the steam. Dip the filled dates into the chocolate, let the excess chocolate drip off, and place them on baking paper to harden.
  4. 4. Store the dates with the chocolate coating in a cool and dry place. Enjoy!
