  2. 2. Beat the soft butter in a bowl with a hand mixer and whisk until frothy.
  3. 3. Add the sugar and eggs one after the other to the butter and mix well.
  4. 4. Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt over the mixture.
  5. 5. Add the milk and stir everything together into a smooth batter.
  6. 6. Divide the batter evenly into two separate bowls.
  7. 7. Thoroughly mix the cocoa powder into the batter in one of the bowls.
  8. 8. Grease a 26-centimeter springform pan.
  9. 9. Spoon the light and dark batter alternately into the center of the pan.
  10. 10. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes in the preheated oven.
  11. 11. Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it in a pot with the cream over medium heat.
  12. 12. Let the chocolate glaze cool down briefly.
  13. 13. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
