  6. 6. Wash the basil leaves under cold water.
  7. 7. Pat the leaves dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Pluck the leaves off the tough stems.
  9. 9. Finely chop the basil leaves.
  10. 10. Place the tomato cubes, mozzarella cubes, and chopped basil into a bowl.
  11. 11. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Mix the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
  13. 13. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl with the cream.
  14. 14. Season the egg and cream mixture with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Remove the crusts from the toast slices.
  16. 16. Dip each toast slice briefly into the egg and cream mixture.
  17. 17. Let the toast slices absorb the liquid well.
