  1. 1. Wash the chives thoroughly, pat dry, and cut into rings. Wash the cucumber, peel it, and slice it into thin slices. In a bowl, mix the cucumber, vinegar, 2 tbsp oil, half of the chives, sugar, and salt well.
  2. 2. Cut the onion in half, peel it, and slice it into thin rings. In a pot with 3 tbsp butter and sugar, melt over low heat while stirring constantly for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and sugar and keep warm.
  3. 3. Meanwhile, quarter the pointed cabbage, remove the core in a wedge shape, cut into thin strips, wash thoroughly, and spin dry.
  4. 4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pot over medium heat and sweat the pointed cabbage together with cumin for about 4 minutes. Add 100 ml water, bring to a boil, season with salt and pepper, and keep warm covered over low heat.
  5. 5. Cut the maultaschen into strips. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the maultaschen in it for about 3 minutes until golden brown. Add the pointed cabbage and 1 tbsp butter, toss everything well, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. 6. Serve the maultaschen together with the caramelized onions on plates, sprinkle with the remaining chives, and serve with the cucumber salad. Enjoy your meal!
