🍽️ Garlic Shrimp with Creamy Dip

Ingredients
- shrimp raw, frozen 600 g
- garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- oil 2 tbsp
- sour cream 200 g
- salt pinch
- cayenne pepper pinch
- brown sugar 1 tsp
- white rum 30 ml
Instructions
- 1. Thaw the shrimp overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
- 3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 4. Fry the garlic slices for about 2 minutes until golden brown, but not too dark.
- 5. Place the fried garlic together with the pan oil into a tall container.
- 6. Blend the mixture until smooth.
- 7. Stir sour cream into the garlic puree mixture.
- 8. Season the dip with salt and cayenne pepper.
- 9. Wash the shrimp and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Heat the pan again with 1 tablespoon of oil over high heat.
- 11. Fry the shrimp for about 3 minutes.
- 12. Season the shrimp with salt and cayenne pepper.
- 13. Sprinkle the shrimp with sugar and let them caramelize briefly.
- 14. Deglaze the pan with rum.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil once.
- 16. Taste the shrimp one last time and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 17. Serve the warm shrimp together with the cold garlic dip.
