  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan circulation.
  2. 2. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
  3. 3. Cut the washed tomatoes into four equal quarters.
  4. 4. Take the mozzarella out of the package and let the liquid drain off.
  5. 5. Slice the mozzarella into thin rounds.
  6. 6. Wash the basil leaves under cold water.
  7. 7. Gently pat the basil dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Pick off the thick, coarse stems from the basil.
  9. 9. Finely chop the basil leaves with a knife.
  10. 10. Take some soft butter and put it into a small bowl.
  11. 11. Add the chopped basil to the butter.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt.
  13. 13. Season the mixture with some freshly ground pepper.
  14. 14. Mix the butter, basil, salt, and pepper well together.
  15. 15. Cut the ciabatta bread in half lengthwise.
  16. 16. Spread the basil butter onto the cut sides of the bread.
  17. 17. Place slices of ham on the bottom half of the bread.
  18. 18. Distribute the tomato pieces evenly over the ham.
  19. 19. Place the mozzarella slices on top of the tomatoes.
  20. 20. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  21. 21. Place the filled ciabatta half on the tray with the cut side facing up.
  22. 22. Put the tray into the preheated oven.
  23. 23. Bake the sandwich for about 10 minutes.
  24. 24. Wash the arugula under cold water.
  25. 25. Spin the arugula dry in a salad spinner.
  26. 26. Take the baking tray with the sandwich out of the oven.
  27. 27. Sprinkle the dry arugula over the hot sandwich.
  28. 28. Fold the top half of the bread over the filling.
  29. 29. Cut the sandwich into bite-sized portions.
  30. 30. Arrange the portions on plates.
