🍳 Oven Sandwich with Ciabatta, Ham, Cheese, and Herb Butter

Ingredients
- Cherry tomatoes 100 g
- Mozzarella 1 pc
- Basil, fresh 20 g
- Butter 6 tbsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Ciabatta bread 1 pc
- Boiled ham 4 slices
- Arugula 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan circulation.
- 2. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 3. Cut the washed tomatoes into four equal quarters.
- 4. Take the mozzarella out of the package and let the liquid drain off.
- 5. Slice the mozzarella into thin rounds.
- 6. Wash the basil leaves under cold water.
- 7. Gently pat the basil dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Pick off the thick, coarse stems from the basil.
- 9. Finely chop the basil leaves with a knife.
- 10. Take some soft butter and put it into a small bowl.
- 11. Add the chopped basil to the butter.
- 12. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt.
- 13. Season the mixture with some freshly ground pepper.
- 14. Mix the butter, basil, salt, and pepper well together.
- 15. Cut the ciabatta bread in half lengthwise.
- 16. Spread the basil butter onto the cut sides of the bread.
- 17. Place slices of ham on the bottom half of the bread.
- 18. Distribute the tomato pieces evenly over the ham.
- 19. Place the mozzarella slices on top of the tomatoes.
- 20. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 21. Place the filled ciabatta half on the tray with the cut side facing up.
- 22. Put the tray into the preheated oven.
- 23. Bake the sandwich for about 10 minutes.
- 24. Wash the arugula under cold water.
- 25. Spin the arugula dry in a salad spinner.
- 26. Take the baking tray with the sandwich out of the oven.
- 27. Sprinkle the dry arugula over the hot sandwich.
- 28. Fold the top half of the bread over the filling.
- 29. Cut the sandwich into bite-sized portions.
- 30. Arrange the portions on plates.
