🍽️ Baked Beetroot

Ingredients
- garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- beetroot, pre-cooked 500 g
- thyme, fresh 20 g
- onions, yellow 8 pcs.
- olive oil 4 tbsp.
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- chives, fresh 0.5 bunch
- cream cheese, plain 200 g
- cream horseradish 2 tsp.
- mini romaine lettuce 2 pcs.
- rye bread 4 slices
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection). Flatten the garlic with the back of a knife. Pat the beetroot dry and cut it into wedges. Wash the thyme, shake it dry and pick the leaves off the stems. Halve and peel the onions, then quarter them.
- 2. Mix everything in a baking dish with olive oil, salt and pepper and bake it in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 3. Wash the chives, shake them dry and cut them into fine rings. In a bowl, mix the chives with cream cheese, horseradish, salt and pepper. Trim the lettuce, wash it, spin it dry and cut it into strips.
- 4. Take the baking dish out of the oven and let it cool down a bit. Mix the lettuce in the baking dish with the other ingredients and serve everything on plates with the horseradish cream. Serve with bread. Enjoy your meal!
