  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top/bottom heat). Wash the plums, quarter them, and remove the pits. Place them in a butter-greased baking dish. Thoroughly rinse the orange under hot water, finely grate the peel, halve it, and squeeze out the juice.
  2. 2. Mix the orange juice and peel with cane sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and pour this mixture over the plums. Bake everything in the oven for about 20 minutes.
  3. 3. Toast the walnuts in a pan without fat over medium heat for approx. 4 minutes. Sprinkle them with sugar and let them caramelize. Place them on a piece of baking paper and let them cool. Coarsely chop the walnut brittle.
  4. 4. Mix quark with 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a bowl and fold in the walnut brittle. Serve the baked plums together with the walnut cream in bowls. Enjoy!
