Ingredients
- Brown sugar 50 g
- Salt pinch
- Honey 50 g
- Butter 50 g
- Raisins 50 g
- Dried plums 50 g
- Soft apricots, dried and pitted 50 g
- Soft figs, dried 50 g
- Oat flakes, hearty 100 g
- Wheat flour, Type 405 50 g
- Sunflower seeds 40 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Put sugar, a pinch of salt, honey, and butter into a saucepan.
- 3. Heat the ingredients on the stove until the butter is completely melted.
- 4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the liquid cool down briefly.
- 5. Cut the dried fruits into small cubes.
- 6. Add the chopped fruits, oat flakes, flour, and sunflower seeds into a large bowl.
- 7. Pour the cooled honey-butter mixture over the dry ingredients.
- 8. Stir everything well until everything is evenly coated.
- 9. Line a square springform pan with 23 centimeter side length with baking paper.
- 10. Fill the dough into the prepared pan.
- 11. Press the mixture firmly and evenly with your hands or a spoon.
- 12. Place the pan into the preheated oven.
- 13. Bake the bars for about 20 minutes until they are golden brown and crunchy.
- 14. Remove the pan from the oven.
- 15. Let the bars cool down in the pan for a short while.
- 16. Cut the mass into individual bars with a sharp knife.
- 17. Let the bars cool completely before eating them.
- 18. Stored in an airtight container, the bars stay fresh for one to two weeks.
