  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Put sugar, a pinch of salt, honey, and butter into a saucepan.
  3. 3. Heat the ingredients on the stove until the butter is completely melted.
  4. 4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the liquid cool down briefly.
  5. 5. Cut the dried fruits into small cubes.
  6. 6. Add the chopped fruits, oat flakes, flour, and sunflower seeds into a large bowl.
  7. 7. Pour the cooled honey-butter mixture over the dry ingredients.
  8. 8. Stir everything well until everything is evenly coated.
  9. 9. Line a square springform pan with 23 centimeter side length with baking paper.
  10. 10. Fill the dough into the prepared pan.
  11. 11. Press the mixture firmly and evenly with your hands or a spoon.
  12. 12. Place the pan into the preheated oven.
  13. 13. Bake the bars for about 20 minutes until they are golden brown and crunchy.
  14. 14. Remove the pan from the oven.
  15. 15. Let the bars cool down in the pan for a short while.
  16. 16. Cut the mass into individual bars with a sharp knife.
  17. 17. Let the bars cool completely before eating them.
  18. 18. Stored in an airtight container, the bars stay fresh for one to two weeks.
