🍰 Fruit Skewers with Ginger Yogurt Dip

Ingredients
- ginger, fresh 40 g
- organic lemons 2 pcs.
- sugar 75 g
- strawberries 200 g
- apricots, fresh 2 pcs.
- cherries, fresh 150 g
- plums 2 pcs.
- honeydew melon 150 g
- basil, fresh 10 g
- yogurt, plain 300 g
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
- 2. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 3. Put sugar, 50 milliliters of lemon juice, and two tablespoons of water into a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil on high heat.
- 5. Let the syrup simmer for about two minutes on medium heat.
- 6. Add the ginger slices to the syrup.
- 7. Let the syrup with the ginger cool down.
- 8. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
- 9. Wash the apricots, cherries, and plums.
- 10. Halve these fruits and remove the pits.
- 11. Cut the apricots and plums into quarters.
- 12. Halve the melon and remove the seeds with a spoon.
- 13. Cut the melon flesh into cubes.
- 14. Wash the basil and pat it dry.
- 15. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 16. Thread the fruits and basil leaves alternately onto the wooden skewers.
- 17. Drizzle the skewers with the remaining lemon juice.
- 18. Store the skewers in the refrigerator.
- 19. Mix the yogurt in a bowl thoroughly with the cooled ginger syrup.
- 20. Serve the fruit skewers with the ginger yogurt dip.
