🍽️ Crispy Onion Rings with Beer Batter

Ingredients
- Beer 300 ml
- Wheat flour, Type 405 180 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Onions, yellow 6 pcs.
- Sunflower oil 15 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Pour the beer into a bowl.
- 2. Stir in about 150 grams of flour gradually until you have a smooth batter.
- 3. Season the batter with salt and pepper.
- 4. Place the batter in a cool spot for about one hour.
- 5. Peel the onions while you wait.
- 6. Cut the onions into rings about one centimeter thick.
- 7. Place the onion rings on a plate.
- 8. Keep the onion rings cool for a while as well.
- 9. Put the remaining flour on a clean plate.
- 10. Mix a pinch of salt into the flour on the plate.
- 11. Pour oil into a frying pan.
- 12. Fill the oil to a depth of about one to two centimeters.
- 13. Heat the oil over medium to high heat.
- 14. Take some onion rings out of the cool spot.
- 15. Coat the onion rings in the seasoned flour.
- 16. Dip the floured rings completely into the beer batter.
- 17. Let the excess batter drip off for a moment.
- 18. Fry the rings in batches in the hot oil.
- 19. Fry the rings for about four minutes.
- 20. Turn the rings occasionally so they turn golden brown evenly.
- 21. Remove the finished rings from the oil.
- 22. Place the rings on kitchen paper.
- 23. Let the excess oil drain off.
- 24. Sprinkle the rings with a little more salt.
- 25. Serve the onion rings hot.
