  1. 1. Cut the onion in half and remove the skin.
  2. 2. Dice the onion into very small cubes.
  3. 3. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Add the onion cubes to the pan.
  5. 5. Sauté the onions for two to three minutes until they become translucent.
  6. 6. Remove the pan from the heat and let the onions cool down.
  7. 7. Slice the rolls into thick pieces.
  8. 8. Place the roll slices in a bowl with warm water.
  9. 9. Let the rolls soak briefly in the water.
  10. 10. Squeeze the rolls well afterwards so that no water drips out.
  11. 11. Place the ground meat in a separate large bowl.
  12. 12. Add the cooled onions and the squeezed rolls to the meat.
  13. 13. Add an egg, salt, and pepper.
  14. 14. Mix all ingredients thoroughly together.
  15. 15. If the mixture is too wet, add some breadcrumbs.
  16. 16. Form round balls with a diameter of about five centimeters from the meat mixture.
  17. 17. Heat oil in a pan over high heat.
  18. 18. Fry the meatballs on all sides until golden brown (approx. 4–5 minutes).
  19. 19. Reduce the heat to low to medium.
  20. 20. Cover the pan and let the balls cook for another 5–7 minutes.
  21. 21. Turn the balls occasionally during the cooking time.
  22. 22. Wash the parsley and shake it dry.
  23. 23. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems and chop them finely.
  24. 24. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
  25. 25. Add the frozen vegetables and 100 grams of whipping cream to the pot.
  26. 26. Simmer the vegetables with the cream for about five minutes.
  27. 27. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
  28. 28. Add the remaining cream, the broth, and the chopped parsley.
  29. 29. Let the sauce simmer for another five minutes.
  30. 30. Plate the meatballs and vegetables.
  31. 31. Serve the dish immediately.
