Ingredients
- butter 20 g
- sour cherries in a jar 175 g
- eggs 4 pcs.
- milk 250 g
- sugar 80 g
- wheat flour, type 405 100 g
- salt pinch
- vanilla extract 1 tsp
- lemons 1 pcs.
- hazelnut kernels, ground 50 g
- powdered sugar 20 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat.
- 2. Grease a round baking pan with a diameter of 24 centimeters with the soft butter.
- 3. Let the cherries drain in a sieve.
- 4. Catch the cherry juice in a container.
- 5. Mix the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla extract, and a pinch of lemon zest in a blender.
- 6. Blend the ingredients until a liquid batter forms, similar to pancake batter.
- 7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- 8. Distribute the drained cherries evenly over the batter.
- 9. Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the cherries.
- 10. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- 11. Check if the casserole is done by inserting a toothpick into the center.
- 12. Let the clafoutis cool down slightly in the oven or on the counter.
- 13. Dust the finished pastry with powdered sugar before serving.
