  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 250 °C (top/bottom heat). In a bowl, knead flour, water, salt, and 3 tbsp oil into a smooth dough, divide it, and let the two dough pieces rest covered with a kitchen towel for about 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, wash the spring onions, trim the ends, and slice them into thin rings. Halve the onions, peel them, and dice finely. Heat oil in a pan over high heat and sauté the spring onions, onions, and ham cubes for about 2 minutes.
  3. 3. In a bowl, mix the crème fraîche with pepper and a pinch of salt.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough halves evenly on baking paper and then place them on baking sheets along with the paper. Spread the crème fraîche evenly over the dough and top with the onion-ham mixture.
  5. 5. Bake the Flammkuchen one after the other in the oven for about 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Then cut into pieces, sprinkle with cumin if desired, season with pepper, and serve immediately. Enjoy your meal!
