  4. 4. Knead the ingredients together by hand until you have a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Sprinkle some flour onto your work surface.
  6. 6. Roll out the dough evenly to a thickness of about 2 millimeters.
  7. 7. Grease a tart pan.
  8. 8. Place the dough into the pan.
  9. 9. Press the dough firmly against the bottom and sides.
  10. 10. Trim the excess edges straight with a knife.
  11. 11. Prick the base several times with a fork.
  12. 12. Place the quiche dough in the refrigerator to chill.
  13. 13. Wash the fennel thoroughly.
  14. 14. Quarter the fennel.
  15. 15. Cut the fennel into very thin strips.
