🍽️ Eggs Wrapped in Meat with Puff Pastry

Ingredients
- Eggs 6 pcs.
- Onions, yellow 1 pcs.
- Garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- Parsley, fresh 1 bunch
- Minced meat, mixed 1 kg
- Breadcrumbs 100 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Puff pastry 1 pcs.
Instructions
- 1. Fill a pot with about 1 liter of water and bring it to a boil.
- 2. Carefully place the 4 eggs into the bubbling water.
- 3. Boil the eggs for approx. 10 minutes until hard-boiled.
- 4. Remove the eggs and immediately cool them under cold water to make the shell easy to remove.
- 5. Peel the boiled eggs completely and set them aside.
- 6. Peel the onion and garlic and chop both finely.
- 7. Wash the parsley, pat it dry, and pick the leaves off the stems.
- 8. Chop the parsley leaves finely as well.
- 9. Add the minced meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, and 1 raw egg to a large bowl.
- 10. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spoon.
- 11. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper and adjust to taste if needed.
- 12. Preheat the oven to 170 °C with top and bottom heat.
- 13. Roll out the puff pastry on a work surface.
- 14. Spread half of the minced meat mixture in the center of the pastry.
- 15. Make sure to leave a border of approx. 10 cm free all around.
- 16. Place the peeled eggs in a row on top of the minced meat layer.
- 17. Cover the eggs completely with the remaining minced meat mixture.
- 18. Fold the puff pastry sides over the filling so that everything is tightly wrapped.
- 19. Place the finished package on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 20. Separate an egg and whisk only the yolk in a small bowl.
- 21. Brush the surface of the puff pastry evenly with the egg yolk.
- 22. Bake the dish in the oven for approx. 50 minutes until golden brown.
- 23. Remove the 'false hare' from the oven and let it cool down briefly.
- 24. Slice the package into thick slices and serve warm.
