  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Beat butter, powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and ground cardamom in a bowl with a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy and fluffy.
  3. 3. Add one egg and mix it in well until fully incorporated.
  4. 4. Dissolve coffee powder in a little water and set the solution aside.
  5. 5. Gently fold flour, semolina, and baking powder into the butter-sugar mixture.
  6. 6. Stir the prepared coffee solution into the dough until it is homogeneous.
  7. 7. Take walnut-sized portions of the dough using two teaspoons.
  8. 8. Place the dough portions on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, leaving enough space between them.
  9. 9. Gently press the portions flat.
  10. 10. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until they are golden brown.
  11. 11. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  12. 12. Bring about 500 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
  13. 13. Place a metal bowl with the chocolate over the hot water without touching the water, and melt the chocolate gently (bain-marie method).
  14. 14. Drizzle fine chocolate stripes or patterns onto the cooled cookies using a fork.
  15. 15. Let the chocolate on the cookies dry completely.
