  2. 2. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
  3. 3. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
  4. 4. Place the water and the strawberry pieces into a pot.
  5. 5. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
  6. 6. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
  7. 7. Let the strawberries steep for about 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Pour the strawberries through a sieve to catch the juice.
  9. 9. Place the collected juice, the lemon juice, the cane sugar, and the vanilla sugar into a clean pot.
  10. 10. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils again.
  11. 11. Let the syrup simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  12. 12. Pour the hot syrup immediately into sterilized jars or bottles.
  13. 13. Seal the containers tightly immediately after filling.
  14. 14. Store the syrup in a cool and dark place until you are ready to use it.
  15. 15. Consume opened bottles within 6 months.
