  7. 7. Add three tablespoons of lemon juice to the pot.
  8. 8. Add the pectin sugar to the pot.
  9. 9. Set the stove to medium heat.
  10. 10. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  11. 11. Let the jam simmer for about four minutes.
  12. 12. Take one teaspoon of the warm jam.
  13. 13. Dab the jam onto a cold plate.
  14. 14. Wait for about one minute.
  15. 15. Check if the jam has set.
  16. 16. If it is firm, it is ready.
  17. 17. If it is still liquid, cook it for one to two minutes longer.
  18. 18. Repeat the setting test if necessary.
  19. 19. Fill the hot jam into four clean screw-top jars.
