  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the strawberries under running water.
  2. 2. Remove the green leaves and stems from the berries.
  3. 3. Cut the cleaned strawberries into small cubes.
  4. 4. Coarsely grind the peppercorns using a mill or a mortar.
  5. 5. Take the softened butter out of the refrigerator.
  6. 6. Add the strawberry cubes, the ground pepper, and the butter into a bowl.
  7. 7. Mix all ingredients vigorously together until a homogeneous mass forms.
  8. 8. Finally season the butter mixture with a pinch of salt.
  9. 9. Place a sufficient amount of baking paper on a clean work surface.
  10. 10. Place the butter mixture in the center of the baking paper.
  11. 11. Shape the butter into a compact roll using the paper.
  12. 12. Twist the ends of the roll tightly, similar to a candy wrapper.
  13. 13. Place the butter roll in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  14. 14. Take the roll out of the refrigerator after it has firmed up.
  15. 15. Carefully remove the baking paper from the butter roll.
  16. 16. Slice the butter into even slices.
