🍳 Fruity Jam Made from Strawberries and Rhubarb

Ingredients
- Strawberries 500 g
- Rhubarb 500 g
- Lemons 1 pc.
- Vanilla Sugar 1 packet
- Jam sugar 500 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the green leaves from the strawberries.
- 3. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
- 4. Wash the rhubarb.
- 5. Remove the ends from the rhubarb.
- 6. Peel the rhubarb.
- 7. Cut the rhubarb into pieces about 2 cm in size.
- 8. Halve the lemon.
- 9. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 10. Put the strawberries, rhubarb, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, vanilla sugar, and jam sugar into a pot.
- 11. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
- 12. Let the jam simmer for about 4 minutes.
- 13. Take one teaspoon of jam and put it on a cold plate.
- 14. Wait about 1 minute and check if the jam sets.
- 15. If the jam sets, you can proceed with it.
- 16. If it is not set yet, cook it for another 1 to 2 minutes.
- 17. Repeat the setting test if necessary.
- 18. Fill the hot jam into 4 clean screw-top jars with a capacity of 250 ml each.
- 19. Seal the jars tightly.
- 20. Place the jars upside down on their lids to let them cool.
- 21. Enjoy!
