Ingredients
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- chives, fresh 10 g
- garlic cloves 1 pc
- crusty bread 1 pc
- butter 4 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- Gouda, grated 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Wash the herbs and shake them dry.
- 3. Pluck the leaves from the parsley stems and chop them coarsely.
- 4. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 5. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 6. Cut the bread at intervals of about 2 centimeters.
- 7. Make sure the slices remain connected in the bottom third.
- 8. Turn the bread and cut it again at intervals of about 2 centimeters.
- 9. This creates a connected diamond pattern.
- 10. Melt the butter in a pot over low heat.
- 11. Add the herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper to the butter.
- 12. Stir the mixture well.
- 13. Brush the bread with the herb butter.
- 14. Distribute the cheese in the gaps of the bread.
- 15. Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 16. Bake the bread in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 17. Take the bread out of the oven.
- 18. Serve it immediately.
