  1. 1. Cut the onion in half and peel off the skin.
  2. 2. Roughly chop the onion.
  3. 3. Heat sunflower oil in a pot over medium heat.
  4. 4. Add the onions to the hot oil.
  5. 5. Sauté the onions for about 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Peel the mango.
  7. 7. Cut the flesh away from the pit.
  8. 8. Add the mango flesh, sugar, vinegar, and a pinch of salt to the pot.
  9. 9. Wash the chili pepper.
  10. 10. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
  11. 11. Add the chili pepper halves to the pot.
  12. 12. Cover the pot.
  13. 13. Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes.
  14. 14. Remove the chili peppers from the pot and set them aside.
  15. 15. Blend the rest of the mixture in the pot until smooth.
  16. 16. Pour the finished mango ketchup into bottles.
  17. 17. Let the ketchup cool down.
