🍰 Fluffy Eggnog Mousse with Fresh Strawberry Pieces

Ingredients
- gelatin leaves 4 pcs
- whipping cream 200 ml
- eggs 3 pcs
- sugar 2 tbsp
- egg liqueur 150 ml
- strawberries 400 g
- mint, fresh 5 g
- apricots in dark bitter chocolate 100 g
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
Instructions
- 1. Place the gelatin leaves in a bowl with cold water and let them soften.
- 2. Whip the cream in a separate bowl using a hand mixer with the whisk attachment until stiff.
- 3. Heat about one liter of water in a pot until it boils.
- 4. Separate the eggs and set aside the egg whites for another recipe.
- 5. Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar in a bowl over the hot water bath until the mixture becomes thick and pale.
- 6. Squeeze the water out of the soaked gelatin and stir it into the warm egg yolk mixture until it has completely dissolved.
- 7. Stir the eggnog into the mixture.
- 8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the eggnog mixture.
- 9. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- 10. Wash the strawberries and remove the green leaves.
- 11. Cut the strawberries into quarters or eighths, depending on their size.
- 12. Wash the mint and pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 13. Halve or quarter the chocolate-covered fruits, depending on their size.
- 14. Mix the strawberries, the chocolate-covered fruits, the vanilla sugar, and the mint in a bowl.
- 15. Spoon the cold mousse into portions onto plates.
- 16. Add the prepared strawberry mixture to the mousse.
- 17. Garnish the dish with fresh mint leaves.
- 18. Enjoy your meal!
