🍽️ Oven Cheese Toast with Tomato-Basil Cream

Ingredients
- Vine tomatoes 1 pc.
- Basil, fresh 40 g
- Fresh cheese, plain 200 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Toast bread 8 slices
- Gouda, young block 200 g
- Pepper, sweet paprika pinch
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Remove the hard stem area from the top of the tomatoes.
- 3. Dice the tomato flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Wash the basil leaves thoroughly as well.
- 5. Dry the basil leaves well so they do not become wet.
- 6. Carefully pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 7. Finely chop the basil leaves.
- 8. Put the tomato cubes and the chopped basil into a bowl.
- 9. Add the cream cheese amount to the bowl.
- 10. Mix the ingredients well together.
- 11. Season the cream with salt to taste.
- 12. Season the cream additionally with black pepper.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 14. Set the oven function to top and bottom heat.
- 15. Place the toast slices into the toaster.
- 16. Toast the slices briefly until they are slightly crispy.
- 17. Take the toast slices out of the toaster.
- 18. Spread the tomato-cream cheese mixture evenly over each toast slice.
- 19. Get the Gouda cheese ready.
- 20. Cut off the hard rind from the Gouda.
- 21. Slice the Gouda into thin slices.
- 22. Place the Gouda slices on top of the spread toast slices.
- 23. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 24. Place the topped toast slices on the prepared tray.
- 25. Set the oven temperature to 240 degrees.
- 26. Slide the tray into the preheated oven.
- 27. Bake the toasts for about three minutes.
- 28. Make sure that the cheese is completely melted.
- 29. Take the tray out of the oven carefully.
- 30. Lightly dust the finished toasts with paprika powder.
- 31. Serve the toasts immediately while warm.
