🍽️ Döner Croissant

Ingredients
- onions, red 1 pc.
- beef top sirloin steaks 400 g
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- organic limes 1 pc.
- salt pinch
- feta 100 g
- iceberg lettuce 100 g
- gyro seasoning pinch
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- oil 4 tbsp
- cucumbers 0.25 pc.
- tomato paste 1 tbsp
- red cabbage, fresh 0.25 pc.
- yogurt, plain 200 g
- vine tomatoes 2 pc.
- sugar pinch
- croissant 6 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the hip steaks under running water.
- 2. Pat the steaks dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the steaks into thin strips.
- 4. Mix the gyro seasoning, salt, tomato paste, and 2 tablespoons of oil in a bowl.
- 5. Marinate the meat strips in the spice mixture.
- 6. Quarter the red cabbage.
- 7. Remove the hard core from the red cabbage.
- 8. Break off any ugly outer leaves.
- 9. Cut the red cabbage into thin strips.
- 10. Knead the red cabbage vigorously in a bowl with salt and sugar.
- 11. Set the red cabbage aside.
- 12. Wash the cucumber and the tomato.
- 13. Dice the cucumber and the tomato.
- 14. Halve the onion.
- 15. Peel the onion.
- 16. Cut the onion into strips.
- 17. Cut the iceberg lettuce into coarse strips.
- 18. Wash the iceberg lettuce.
- 19. Crumble the feta cheese with your hands.
- 20. Wash the parsley.
- 21. Shake the parsley dry.
- 22. Pick the parsley leaves off the stems.
- 23. Chop the parsley leaves.
- 24. Peel the garlic.
- 25. Chop the garlic.
- 26. Halve the lime.
- 27. Squeeze the lime.
- 28. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection).
- 29. Bake the croissant in the oven for approx. 5 minutes until crispy.
- 30. Mix the yogurt with the parsley and garlic in a bowl.
- 31. Season the yogurt mixture with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
- 32. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan on high heat.
- 33. Fry the meat with the marinade for approx. 2 minutes until golden brown.
- 34. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 35. Let the meat rest for a short time.
- 36. Slice the croissant open.
- 37. Spread the croissant with the yogurt sauce.
- 38. Fill the croissant with all ingredients as desired.
- 39. Drizzle the croissant again with a little yogurt sauce.
- 40. Serve the Döner Croissant in a classic way.
