  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius. Set it to top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Spread the macadamia nuts out evenly on a baking sheet.
  3. 3. Place the tray in the oven and warm the nuts for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove the tray as soon as the nuts feel warm to the touch.
  5. 5. Be careful not to roast them further so they do not burn.
  6. 6. Put the warm macadamia nuts into a food processor or blender.
  7. 7. Blend the nuts for 1 to 2 minutes.
  8. 8. Stop briefly when the nuts have been crushed into a coarse flour.
  9. 9. Turn the mixer back on and blend for another 3 to 5 minutes.
  10. 10. Watch as the flour clumps together into a sticky ball or paste.
  11. 11. Now continue blending for 6 to 10 minutes.
  12. 12. The nut oils will be released and the paste will become creamy and liquid.
  13. 13. Taste the butter before filling it.
  14. 14. Check if it tastes salty enough to your liking.
  15. 15. Pour the finished macadamia nut butter into a clean jar.
  16. 16. Seal the jar airtight.
