  1. 1. Spread the peanuts evenly on a baking sheet.
  2. 2. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and set it to top and bottom heat.
  3. 3. Roast the peanuts in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove the tray from the oven when the nuts smell fragrant.
  5. 5. Let the roasted peanuts cool down completely.
  6. 6. Put the cooled peanuts and the salt into a food processor or blender.
  7. 7. Blend the nuts for 1 to 2 minutes until they are crushed into coarse flour.
  8. 8. Continue blending for 3 to 5 minutes until a sticky ball of nut paste forms.
  9. 9. Keep blending for 6 to 10 minutes until the oils are released and the paste becomes creamy and liquid.
  10. 10. Optionally add the agave syrup and mix it in briefly.
  11. 11. Pour the finished peanut butter into a clean jar.
  12. 12. Seal the jar airtight.
