🍳 Spelt Bread with Apple

Ingredients
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- water 300 ml
- sugar 1 tsp
- apples, red 2 pcs
- spelt flour, Type 630 500 g
- salt 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast with sugar in lukewarm water and let it rest covered for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, peel the apples, halve them, remove the core, and grate them coarsely.
- 2. Add the spelt flour and salt along with the apples to the bowl and knead everything into a smooth dough using your hands. Let the dough rise in a warm place, covered, for about 1 hour, until it has doubled in size.
- 3. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (top/bottom heat). Bake the bread in the oven for about 55–60 minutes. Enjoy your meal! Tip: The bread can also be baked in a cast-iron pot. To do this, preheat the pot in the oven along with it.
