🍳 Crunchy Spelt Rolls with Sunflower Seeds

Ingredients
- yeast, fresh 1 pcs
- sugar 0.5 tsp
- water 250 ml
- spelt flour, Type 1050 500 g
- salt 1 tsp
- butter 50 g
- sunflower seeds 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Crumble the yeast into a small bowl.
- 2. Add the sugar and the lukewarm water.
- 3. Stir the mixture until the yeast and sugar have completely dissolved.
- 4. Cover the bowl and let the yeast mixture rest for about 15 minutes.
- 5. Take a separate large bowl.
- 6. Add the flour, the salt, and the butter to this bowl.
- 7. Mix the dry ingredients and the butter together briefly.
- 8. Pour the prepared yeast mixture over the flour ingredients.
- 9. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 10. If the dough seems too dry, add a little more lukewarm water gradually.
- 11. Cover the bowl with the dough.
- 12. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- 13. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
- 14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (conventional fan setting).
- 15. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
- 16. Sprinkle some flour onto a clean work surface.
- 17. Shape each piece of dough into a round roll.
- 18. Brush the surface of the rolls lightly with water.
- 19. Sprinkle the rolls generously with sunflower seeds.
- 20. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 21. Place the rolls on the tray with some space between them.
- 22. Cover the rolls and let them rise again for about 15 minutes.
- 23. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
- 24. Take the rolls out of the oven.
- 25. Let the rolls cool down completely.
- 26. Serve the rolls and enjoy your meal!
