Ingredients
- butter 125 g
- Honey 50 g
- Apples, red 1 pc.
- Walnut kernels 75 g
- Spelt flour, Type 630 150 g
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Oat flakes, coarse 150 g
- Brown sugar 150 g
- Salt Pinch
- Raisins 75 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection). In a pot, melt the butter together with the honey over medium heat for about 3 minutes and then let it cool down.
- 2. Peel the apple, quarter it, remove the core, and grate it coarsely. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
- 3. Mix the flour with baking powder, oat flakes, sugar, salt, and raisins in a bowl. Stir in the walnuts, the apple, and the cooled butter mixture briefly until the dough comes together.
- 4. Form small portions of the dough with two teaspoons onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake them for about 12 minutes until golden brown in the oven. Let the spelt apple cookies cool down and store them airtight. Enjoy!
