🍽️ Crispy Currywurst with Oven Potato Wedges

Ingredients
- potatoes, mainly waxy 1 kg
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- onions, red 1 pc
- lemons 1 pc
- oil 3 tbsp
- curry powder pinch
- tomato paste 2 tbsp
- sugar pinch
- tomatoes, chopped 400 g
- grilled sausages 8 pc
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 3. Cut the potatoes into thick wedges.
- 4. Place the potato wedges on a baking sheet.
- 5. Add one tablespoon of olive oil.
- 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7. Mix everything well so the potatoes are coated.
- 8. Bake the wedges in the oven for about 25 minutes.
- 9. Cut one onion in half.
- 10. Peel the onion.
- 11. Dice the onion into small cubes.
- 12. Wash a lemon under running water.
- 13. Cut the lemon in half.
- 14. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon.
- 15. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot over high heat.
- 16. Add the onion cubes to the pot.
- 17. Add one teaspoon of curry powder.
- 18. Fry the mixture for about one minute.
- 19. Stir in one tablespoon of tomato paste.
- 20. Season with a pinch of sugar.
- 21. Fry the mixture for another two minutes.
- 22. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot.
- 23. Let the sauce simmer on medium heat for five minutes.
- 24. Season the sauce generously with salt.
- 25. Add pepper to taste.
- 26. Add a little sugar to balance the acidity.
- 27. Add a little more curry powder.
- 28. Add the lemon juice and stir.
- 29. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over high heat.
- 30. Place the sausages in the hot pan.
- 31. Fry the sausages for about five minutes until golden brown.
- 32. Turn the sausages frequently to ensure even browning.
- 33. Take the finished potato wedges out of the oven.
- 34. Serve the sausages with the curry sauce.
- 35. Add the potato wedges.
- 36. Plate everything on plates.
