Ingredients
- almonds, whole 300 g
- honey 30 g
- butter 30 g
- curry powder 1 tsp
- paprika, sweet 1 tsp
- cayenne pepper 0.25 tsp
- salt 0.25 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Bring about 500 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
- 2. Place the almonds in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them.
- 3. Let the almonds sit in the water for a short time.
- 4. Drain the water and squeeze the almonds to remove their skins.
- 5. Pat the peeled almonds dry with a cloth.
- 6. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
- 7. Heat honey, butter, and one tablespoon of water in a pan over low heat.
- 8. Stir until the butter has completely melted.
- 9. Season the mixture with curry powder, paprika powder, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- 10. Toss the almonds in the spice mixture until they are well coated.
- 11. Place the almonds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 12. Roast the almonds in the oven for about 30 to 40 minutes.
- 13. Turn the almonds once during the roasting time.
- 14. Let the almonds cool down on the tray for a short time.
- 15. Finally, season them with a little salt.
- 16. Let the almonds cool completely before eating them.
