  2. 2. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
  3. 3. Dice the pitted apricots into small cubes.
  4. 4. Halve the shallots and remove the outer skin.
  5. 5. Finely chop the peeled shallots.
  6. 6. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
  7. 7. Add the diced apricots and chopped shallots to the butter.
  8. 8. Sauté the mixture for about 3 minutes.
  9. 9. Drizzle the apricots with honey.
  10. 10. Let the honey caramelize for about 1 minute.
  11. 11. Deglaze the pan with white wine.
  12. 12. Add about 50 milliliters of water.
  13. 13. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  14. 14. Let the chutney simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens.
  15. 15. Slice the baguette into even slices.
  16. 16. Toast the bread slices in a toaster or in a preheated oven until golden brown.
  17. 17. Halve a clove of garlic.
  18. 18. Rub the toasted crostini with the cut side of the garlic.
  19. 19. Drizzle the crostini with olive oil.
  20. 20. Spread the warm apricot chutney over the crostini.
  21. 21. Place slices of ham on top.
  22. 22. Serve the crostini immediately and enjoy.
