🍽️ Crunchy Crostini with Sweet-Sour Apricot Chutney and Ham

Ingredients
- apricots, fresh 350 g
- shallots 2 pcs.
- butter 1 tbsp
- honey 1 tsp
- white wine, dry 2 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- baguette 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- olive oil 1 tbsp
- Black Forest ham 8 slices
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the apricots thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
- 3. Dice the pitted apricots into small cubes.
- 4. Halve the shallots and remove the outer skin.
- 5. Finely chop the peeled shallots.
- 6. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
- 7. Add the diced apricots and chopped shallots to the butter.
- 8. Sauté the mixture for about 3 minutes.
- 9. Drizzle the apricots with honey.
- 10. Let the honey caramelize for about 1 minute.
- 11. Deglaze the pan with white wine.
- 12. Add about 50 milliliters of water.
- 13. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 14. Let the chutney simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens.
- 15. Slice the baguette into even slices.
- 16. Toast the bread slices in a toaster or in a preheated oven until golden brown.
- 17. Halve a clove of garlic.
- 18. Rub the toasted crostini with the cut side of the garlic.
- 19. Drizzle the crostini with olive oil.
- 20. Spread the warm apricot chutney over the crostini.
- 21. Place slices of ham on top.
- 22. Serve the crostini immediately and enjoy.
