Ingredients
- red cabbage, fresh 0.5 pc.
- onions, red 1 pc.
- salt 3 tsp
- sugar 2 tsp
- yogurt, plain 3 tbsp
- oil 3 tbsp
- vinegar 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the red cabbage thoroughly, remove any wilted leaves, quarter it, and cut or shred into thin strips. Halve the onion, peel it, and slice it into strips.
- 2. In a bowl, season the red cabbage and onions with salt and sugar, and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Then, knead the cabbage with your hands for about 5 minutes.
- 3. You may pour off any excess liquid. Add yogurt, oil, and vinegar, mix everything well, and taste the coleslaw. Enjoy your meal! Tip: The coleslaw can be prepared in advance. It tastes even better if it sits for 1–2 hours.
