🥗 Ciabatta Burgers with Roasted Peppers and Mozzarella Rocket Salad

Ingredients
- Red Bell Pepper 2 pc
- Red Onions 2 pc
- Arugula 50 g
- mozzarella 125 g
- Olive Oil 4 tbsp
- Aglio e Olio Spice 4 g
- Ground Beef 600 g
- Ketchup 2 tbsp
- Dark Balsamic Vinegar 3 tbsp
- Salt Pinch
- Black Ground Pepper Pinch
- Ciabatta Bread 2 pc
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius using top heat or the grill function.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the peppers.
- 3. Cut the peppers into quarters and remove the stem and seeds.
- 4. Halve the onions and peel them.
- 5. Cut the peeled onions into thin strips.
- 6. Wash the rocket (arugula) and let it drain well.
- 7. Slice the mozzarella into pieces about half a centimeter thick.
- 8. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over low heat.
- 9. Lightly fry the Aglio Olio mixture while stirring for one to two minutes.
- 10. Transfer the fried mixture into a large bowl.
- 11. Add the minced meat, one tablespoon of ketchup, and one tablespoon of balsamic vinegar to the bowl.
- 12. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 13. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 14. Set the minced meat mixture aside to rest.
- 15. Place the pepper pieces in a small baking dish with the skin side facing up.
- 16. Roast the peppers in the preheated oven on the top rack for twelve to fifteen minutes until dark.
- 17. Add the ciabatta bread to the oven when there are five minutes of baking time left.
- 18. Bake the ciabatta until golden brown.
- 19. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- 20. Fry the onion strips in it for about three minutes until translucent.
- 21. Add one tablespoon of sugar and two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar.
- 22. Let the onions simmer covered over low heat for about ten minutes until soft.
- 23. Stir the onions occasionally while they are simmering.
- 24. Shape the minced meat mixture into twelve equal-sized, flat patties about one centimeter thick.
- 25. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in the frying pan over medium heat.
- 26. Fry the patties on both sides for about two minutes each.
- 27. Take the ciabatta out of the oven.
- 28. Split the bread in the middle.
- 29. Slice the halves lengthwise.
- 30. Brush the ciabatta halves with the pan juices as desired.
- 31. Brush the ciabatta halves additionally with one tablespoon of olive oil.
- 32. Top the ciabatta with the braised onions.
- 33. Place the roasted peppers on top.
- 34. Add the fried meat patties.
- 35. Place the mozzarella slices on top.
- 36. Add the rocket (arugula) as the final topping.
- 37. Serve the burgers immediately.
