🍰 Crispy Churros with Cinnamon Sugar

Ingredients
- butter 70 g
- Salt pinch
- Water 250 ml
- Wheat flour, Type 405 250 g
- Sugar 60 g
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Oil 1 L
- Cinnamon pinch
Instructions
- 1. Put water, butter, and a pinch of salt into a pot.
- 2. Heat the mixture until it boils and the butter is completely melted.
- 3. Mix flour and 50 grams of sugar in a separate bowl.
- 4. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 5. Stir the flour mixture into the hot water immediately until a firm dough forms.
- 6. Keep stirring until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the pot and forms a white layer.
- 7. Transfer the dough into a clean bowl.
- 8. Let the dough cool down for 10 minutes.
- 9. Add the eggs one by one into the cooled dough.
- 10. Thoroughly mix in each egg before adding the next one.
- 11. Keep stirring until the dough is smooth and shiny.
- 12. Fill the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- 13. Heat oil in a large pot on the highest heat setting.
- 14. Pipe dough strips of about 10 centimeters directly into the hot oil.
- 15. Fry the churros for about 2 minutes until they are golden brown.
- 16. Remove the churros from the oil and let them drain on kitchen paper.
- 17. Mix the remaining sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl.
- 18. Pour the cinnamon-sugar mixture onto a plate.
- 19. Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- 20. Serve the churros immediately.
