🍰 Christmas Donuts from the Oven

Ingredients
- Sugar 100 g
- Salt pinch
- Wheat flour, Type 405 170 g
- Cocoa powder 30 g
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
- Nutmeg, ground pinch
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Vanilla extract 0.5 tsp
- Sunflower oil 100 ml
- Buttermilk 100 ml
- Honey 50 g
- White coating chocolate 150 g
- Sprinkle decoration 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Add sugar, a pinch of salt, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of ground nutmeg to a large bowl.
- 3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, sunflower oil, buttermilk, and honey to the dry mixture.
- 4. Whisk all ingredients together with a whisk until you have a smooth and homogeneous batter.
- 5. Generously spray a donut baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- 6. Fill the batter evenly into the individual molds of the donut pan.
- 7. Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for about 13 to 15 minutes.
- 8. Remove the pan from the oven and let the donuts cool inside the pan for about 10 minutes.
- 9. Carefully turn the donuts out onto a wire rack and let them cool completely.
- 10. Roughly chop the chocolate coating.
- 11. Melt two-thirds of the chocolate over a warm water bath or in the microwave.
- 12. Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the remaining third of the cold chocolate until it is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 13. Dip the cooled donuts halfway into the melted chocolate.
- 14. Immediately sprinkle the wet chocolate with decorative sprinkles before it sets.
