  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Add sugar, a pinch of salt, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of ground nutmeg to a large bowl.
  3. 3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, sunflower oil, buttermilk, and honey to the dry mixture.
  4. 4. Whisk all ingredients together with a whisk until you have a smooth and homogeneous batter.
  5. 5. Generously spray a donut baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. 6. Fill the batter evenly into the individual molds of the donut pan.
  7. 7. Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for about 13 to 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove the pan from the oven and let the donuts cool inside the pan for about 10 minutes.
  9. 9. Carefully turn the donuts out onto a wire rack and let them cool completely.
  10. 10. Roughly chop the chocolate coating.
  11. 11. Melt two-thirds of the chocolate over a warm water bath or in the microwave.
  12. 12. Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the remaining third of the cold chocolate until it is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  13. 13. Dip the cooled donuts halfway into the melted chocolate.
  14. 14. Immediately sprinkle the wet chocolate with decorative sprinkles before it sets.
