  1. 1. Break the chocolate into large pieces and place them in a pot.
  2. 2. Place the pot on a low heat setting.
  3. 3. Melt the chocolate together with the butter while stirring constantly.
  4. 4. Remove the pot from the heat as soon as the mixture is completely liquid.
  5. 5. Let the chocolate mixture cool down for about 15 minutes.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  7. 7. Grease a springform pan with some butter.
  8. 8. Line the bottom of the pan with baking paper.
  9. 9. Put the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar into a large bowl.
  10. 10. Beat the ingredients with a hand mixer and whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  11. 11. Slowly stir the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg-sugar mass.
  12. 12. Mix everything until a uniform consistency has formed.
  13. 13. Bake the cake in the oven for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
  14. 14. Take the finished cake out of the oven.
  15. 15. Let the cake cool down on a wire rack.
  16. 16. Carefully release the cake from the pan.
  17. 17. Whip the cream in a tall bowl until stiff.
  18. 18. Serve the cake with the whipped cream.
