  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
  2. 2. Take the chicken breast out of the fridge to let it reach room temperature.
  3. 3. Grate half of the Parmesan cheese finely.
  4. 4. Dice the gherkins finely.
  5. 5. Wash the parsley and shake off excess water.
  6. 6. Finely chop the parsley.
  7. 7. Mix one tablespoon of mustard with the grated Parmesan in a bowl.
  8. 8. Slowly drizzle in three tablespoons of oil while stirring constantly.
  9. 9. Fold in two tablespoons of mayonnaise.
  10. 10. Add the chopped parsley and diced gherkins.
  11. 11. Loosen the sauce slightly by stirring in some of the gherkin juice.
  12. 12. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  13. 13. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  14. 14. Fry the chicken breast fillets on all sides for about four to five minutes until golden brown.
  15. 15. Remove the pan from the heat.
  16. 16. Let the fillets rest with the lid closed for about four minutes.
  17. 17. Slice the baguettes lengthwise through the middle.
  18. 18. Brush the cut surfaces with two tablespoons of butter.
  19. 19. Lightly salt and pepper the bread.
  20. 20. Place the baguettes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cut side up.
  21. 21. Bake the rolls in the oven for about eight to ten minutes until crispy.
  22. 22. Wash the lettuce thoroughly.
  23. 23. Trim off the hard base of the stem thinly.
  24. 24. Separate the individual lettuce leaves.
  25. 25. Wash the tomatoes.
  26. 26. Remove the core from the tomatoes.
  27. 27. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
  28. 28. Take the baguettes out of the oven.
  29. 29. Spread the Caesar sauce generously on the cut surfaces.
  30. 30. Top the bottom halves of the bread with lettuce.
  31. 31. Place the tomato slices on the lettuce.
  32. 32. Place the chicken fillets on the tomatoes.
  33. 33. Shave the remaining Parmesan roughly over the filling.
  34. 34. Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the bread.
  35. 35. Portion the sandwiches and serve them.
