🍽️ Cevapcici Sandwich

Ingredients
- onions, red 1 pc.
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- minced meat, mixed 600 g
- rose pepper 0.5 tsp
- thyme, dried 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- sour cream yogurt Greek style 200 g
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- roma tomatoes 2 pc.
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- oil 2 tbsp
- baguette 2 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 2. Cut both ingredients into two halves.
- 3. Dice one half of the onion very finely.
- 4. Place the minced meat in a bowl.
- 5. Add the finely diced onion to the meat.
- 6. Finely chop one half of the garlic.
- 7. Add the chopped garlic to the bowl.
- 8. Add rose paprika and thyme.
- 9. Mix everything well with your hands.
- 10. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 11. Set the bowl aside.
- 12. Finely chop the remaining half of the garlic.
- 13. Put the yogurt in a separate bowl.
- 14. Add the finely chopped garlic to the yogurt.
- 15. Add the olive oil.
- 16. Stir the yogurt mixture well.
- 17. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 18. Cut the remaining half of the onion into thin strips.
- 19. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 20. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
- 21. Wash the parsley.
- 22. Dry the parsley.
- 23. Remove the coarse stems from the parsley.
- 24. Chop the parsley coarsely.
- 25. Lightly oil your hands.
- 26. Form small rolls from the meat mixture.
- 27. The rolls should be about 8 centimeters long.
- 28. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 29. Fry the cevapcici on high heat.
- 30. Fry them for about 4 minutes on high heat.
- 31. Reduce the heat to a medium level.
- 32. Fry the meatballs for another 4 to 5 minutes.
- 33. Cut the baguettes lengthwise.
- 34. Do not cut them all the way through.
- 35. Halve the baguettes lengthwise.
- 36. Spread the yogurt sauce on the inside.
- 37. Place the onion strips on the bread.
- 38. Place the tomato slices on top.
- 39. Place the fried cevapcici into the sandwiches.
- 40. Drizzle the sandwiches with pan juices if desired.
- 41. Garnish the sandwiches with the chopped parsley.
