Ingredients
- Cherry tomatoes mix 250 g
- Garlic cloves 3 pcs.
- Basil, fresh 40 g
- Mini mozzarella balls 250 g
- Olive oil 300 ml
- Sea salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the tomatoes under running water.
- 2. Poke the tomatoes all around with a wooden skewer.
- 3. Peel the garlic.
- 4. Slice the garlic thinly.
- 5. Wash the basil.
- 6. Dry the basil thoroughly.
- 7. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 8. Chop the basil leaves finely.
- 9. Drain the mozzarella balls well.
- 10. Rinse a clean jar (approx. 850 ml) with hot water.
- 11. Layer the tomatoes, garlic slices, and mozzarella alternately into the jar.
- 12. Mix the oil with salt and a bit of pepper in a bowl.
- 13. Pour the seasoned oil over the layers until everything is covered.
- 14. Seal the jar tightly.
- 15. Store the jar in the refrigerator.
- 16. Let the Caprese marinate in the fridge for at least one day.
- 17. Drain the Caprese well before serving.
- 18. Serve the Caprese with ciabatta or baguette.
