Ingredients
- butter 100 g
- sugar 100 g
- vanilla sugar 8 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 2 pcs.
- wheat flour, type 405 250 g
- baking powder 1 tsp
- almonds, whole 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (top/bottom heat). In a bowl, beat the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt with a hand mixer and whisk until frothy. Add the eggs. Combine the flour and baking powder and knead them in. Work the almonds into the dough.
- 2. Shape the dough into two rolls about 3–4 cm in diameter on a lightly floured surface, carefully place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and press them down slightly. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 3. Let the rolls cool for about 3 minutes, then cut them into pieces about 2 cm thick with a knife. Place the pieces on the baking sheet with the cut side facing up and bake for another approx. 12–15 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy snacking!
