🍽️ Crispy Calzone with Mushrooms and Ham

Ingredients
- Cherry tomatoes 200 g
- Onions, yellow 1 pc.
- Garlic cloves 1 pc.
- Olive oil 2 tbsp
- Pizza dough with tomato sauce 2 pcs.
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Sugar pinch
- Mushrooms, white 250 g
- Cooked ham 200 g
- Parmesan, grated 100 g
- Gouda, grated 250 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into quarters.
- 3. Halve the onion, peel it, and dice it finely.
- 4. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 5. Heat some olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- 6. Sauté the tomatoes, onion, and garlic for about two minutes.
- 7. Pour in a jar of tomato sauce.
- 8. Let the sauce simmer for five minutes.
- 9. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
- 10. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel if necessary.
- 11. Slice the mushrooms thinly.
- 12. Cut the ham into strips.
- 13. Roll out the pizza dough flat.
- 14. Spread the tomato sauce over one half of the dough.
- 15. Leave a small border around the edge.
- 16. Sprinkle Parmesan and half of the Gouda cheese over the sauce.
- 17. Top the cheese layer with the mushrooms and ham.
- 18. Lightly brush the dough edges with water.
- 19. Fold the empty half of the dough over the filled side.
- 20. Press the edges firmly together to seal them.
- 21. Place the calzone on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 22. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the calzone.
- 23. Bake the calzone on the lowest and middle rack for 20 minutes.
- 24. Switch the position of the baking sheets after 10 minutes.
- 25. Remove the calzone from the oven when it is crispy.
- 26. Let it cool down for a short moment.
- 27. Cut the calzone into portions.
- 28. Serve it and enjoy your meal.
