🥗 Caesar Salad with Grilled Steak Strips

Ingredients
- Eggs 2 pcs.
- Beef fillet steaks 600 g
- Garlic cloves 1 pcs.
- Lemons 1 pcs.
- parmesan 60 g
- Capers 1 tsp
- Olive oil 5 tbsp
- sour cream 50 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Mini Romaine 4 pcs.
- Toast bread 8 slices
- Butter 5 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Fill a pot with one liter of water and bring it to a boil.
- 2. Carefully place the eggs into the boiling water.
- 3. Cook the eggs for seven minutes.
- 4. Drain the water and immediately rinse the eggs with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 5. Peel the cooled eggs.
- 6. Rinse the steak under running water.
- 7. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Let the steak rest at room temperature for a short while.
- 9. Cut the boiled eggs in half.
- 10. Carefully remove the yolk from the egg halves.
- 11. Use the egg whites for another dish.
- 12. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 13. Slice the garlic cloves into thin pieces.
- 14. Rinse the lemon under running water.
- 15. Cut the lemon in half.
- 16. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
- 17. Place the egg yolks into a tall container.
- 18. Add half of the garlic slices to the egg yolks.
- 19. Add the Parmesan to the container.
- 20. Add the capers to the container.
- 21. Add the olive oil to the container.
- 22. Add the sour cream to the container.
- 23. Blend the ingredients with a hand blender until the sauce is smooth.
- 24. Season the sauce with salt.
- 25. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 26. Add the lemon juice to the sauce.
- 27. Carefully separate the lettuce leaves from each other.
- 28. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly.
- 29. Dry the lettuce leaves well.
- 30. Cut the crusts off the toast bread.
- 31. Cut the toast bread into small cubes.
- 32. Melt three tablespoons of butter in a pan.
- 33. Add the toast cubes to the pan.
- 34. Add the remaining garlic to the pan.
- 35. Fry the cubes for three minutes until golden brown.
- 36. Place the toasted cubes on kitchen paper.
- 37. Melt the remaining butter in the same pan.
- 38. Heat the pan on high heat.
- 39. Season the steak with salt.
- 40. Season the steak with pepper.
- 41. Sear the steak for four minutes on the first side.
- 42. Sear the steak for four minutes on the second side.
- 43. Remove the pan from the stove.
- 44. Cover the meat.
- 45. Let the meat rest for five minutes.
- 46. Place the salad in a large bowl.
- 47. Pour the sauce over the salad.
- 48. Toss the salad and sauce well together.
- 49. Slice the steak into thin strips.
- 50. Place the salad on the plates.
- 51. Place the steak strips on the salad.
- 52. Garnish the salad with the toasted toast cubes.
